Changing a member's username
When you have domains linked to your workgroup, you can update a member's username and domain in their email address. After you initiate the change, the member has to verify it to finalise the change.
As an administrator in Objective Connect, select your username in the top right-hand corner of the page and choose the option from the drop-down menu.
The Workgroup page appears.
- Select the workgroup.
- In the Members section, click on the member's name to open their page.
- Select .
Enter the proposed username and click. You can also choose a different domain (if it the domain is already linked) if required.
You will receive an error if there is an existing member with the proposed email address.
The new email address is added to the user's Pending email(s) list.
The member receives an email notification to verify and confirm this change on their new email address. In the interim, if the proposed change is incorrect, you can it and the change will be revoked.
After the member verifies the new username, the change is complete and it will appear as their Primary email.
