Changing workspace abilities for a participant

There may be times when you wish to restrict what an individual participant can do in a workspace. You can change a participant's abilities at any time after they have been invited to the workspace.

If you have 'invite' ability, you can also change other participant's abilities, but you can only give participants the abilities that you yourself have.

  1. In Objective Connect, go to the workspace you wish to change a participant's abilities.
  2. Expand the Participants section.

  3. Select for the participant you wish to change workspace abilities, then Edit participant.

    The Managing roles blade displays to the right of the Content pane listing the current workspace abilities for the participant. For more information on what each permission means, refer to the abilities table.

  4. De-select current abilities and/or select other abilities.
  5. Optionally enter a message so that the participant is aware of the changes in their abilities to the workspace.
  6. Select Update abilities.
  1. Go to the workspace you wish to change a participant's abilities and select the Participants tab.

  4. Optionally enter a message so that the participant is aware of the changes in their abilities to the workspace.
  5. Select Update abilities.
